The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pick 'n' roll:

Saturday's Best Basketball Bets

Detroit Pistons at Denver Nuggets

No one could have predicted the Nuggets would be this successful following the Carmelo Anthony trade.

The squad is 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS since dealing Anthony last month and is playing some of its best defense of the year. Known for their up-tempo style, the Nuggets have held five opponents to 100 or fewer points over that span, an impressive feat for a team known to be indifferent when defending its own goal.

“We pressured them and we played really good,” Denver guard Ty Lawson said after a 116-97 win in Phoenix this week. “We play 'D,' We play really good 'D.' We’ve got a lot of different styles we can play.”

Maybe most impressive during the team’s winning streak is that it has excelled as a favorite – since the Melo trade, Denver is 3-0 SU and ATS in games where it lays points.

On the other bench, the Pistons have struggled to play any kind of defense. Detroit has coughed up 100 or more points in eight of its past nine games. Not surprisingly, the Pistons are a mere 3-6 SU over the span.

"We're looking to mix and match all the time," Detroit coach John Kuester said. "We're always searching to see who's going to give us the most in certain spots and situations.”

Pick: Denver

Los Angeles Lakers at Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks may finally have shed their label as being soft. After coach Rick Carlisle called his team out following a disappointing loss to the Hornets, the Mavericks responded with a 127-109 thrashing of the visiting Knicks.

"I keep saying it, but there's nothing soft about this team," Mavericks guard Jason Terry said. "You look at our record, and you've got to be a tough team to accomplish what we have to this point and to go where we're going. And I'll leave it at that."

The “hard” Mavericks are 8-2 SU in their past 10 while just 5-5 ATS over that span.
But the team always seem to play its best in tight contests. Dallas is 3-1-1 ATS as a three-point or fewer favorite this season.

And the Lakers have not enjoyed facing the Mavericks this year. Los Angeles is 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS over its past 10, but has struggled against Dallas. The Mavericks won the only meeting this season, 109-100 in Texas, and have claimed the past two meetings overall.

"We were making mistakes all night on defense, because offensively things were going well for us," Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said. "It was one of those games that was fool's gold. We were playing well offensively and got a lead, but we were making mistakes defensively."

Expect the Lakers to again look like fools after this one.

Pick: Dallas

Ice picks:

Saturday's Best NHL Bets

Detroit Red Wings at St. Louis Blues

The Red Wings may be ice cold, but the Blues are running out of warm bodies.

St. Louis will is expected to be without forwards David Perron, Vladimir Sobotka and Alexander Steen, along with stud defenseman Barret Jackman this weekend. Steen and Jackman both suffered their injuries in a 4-3 overtime win against Columbus on Wednesday night.

"It's an unfortunate accident for these guys," Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said. "I know how badly they want to be here to support the group and to set the framework for this group moving forward."

On the other bench, the Red Wings have dropped four straight entering the weekend, but three of those were on the road and each was against a potential playoff team. Even better for Detroit, it is expected to welcome back defenders Brad Stuart and Brian Rafalski from a pair of lower body injuries this weekend.

Both will be huge boosts for the team coming off a game against Edmonton on Friday night.

"We try to be solution-based and try to keep people accountable," said Detroit coach Mike Babcock. "I probably haven't done a good enough job because we're not playing at a high enough level individually or as a team. The buck stops here."

Pick: Detroit

Vancouver Canucks at Calgary Flames

The zamboni driver is going to have a lot of work to do on Saturday night as both teams figure to be tearing up and down the ice.

Calgary is 5-2 over its past seven games, scoring at least three goals in five of those contests. Vancouver has been just as deadly recently, claiming four straight by tickling the twine at least three times in each of those games.

In Calgary, the Flames have thrived over the past seven games thanks to the outstanding play of forwards Jarome Iginla (5 goals, 3 assists) and Renee Borque (4 goals, 2 assists). The duo has been as hot as nearly an tandem in the league and gives the team an elite scoring punch.

And with Calgary coming off a 3-0 loss in Phoenix, the team seems poised to rebound on the scoreboard.

“We’re not happy with our game tonight,” defenseman Mark Giordano said. “But we just have to move on and go on to the next one. At this time of year, you can’t dwell on these ones for too long.”

For the Canucks, the dynamic scoring of Henrik and Daniel Sedin has kept the team streaking. Over the past four games, Henrik has one goal and six assists while Daniel has three scores and four helpers.

“These guys don’t look so fast," Canucks forward Mikael Samuelsson said. "They’re not slow, but they’re not really fast. They’re smart. You look and say: ‘OK, what do they have?’ Then, all of a sudden, boom-boom it’s in the net.”

Hockey Night In Canada: NHL Betting Preview

Buffalo Sabres at Toronto Maple Leafs (101, 5.5)

Playoff implications aplenty at Air Canada Centre this weekend as both the Maple Leafs and the Sabres are alive in the hunt for the final seed in the East. So, an already heated rivalry has a little more spice.

Boy, oh Boyes!

The Sabres and their new ownership proved they meant business when they went out and acquired right wing Brad Boyes from the Blues. Boyes has a bloated salary, something Buffalo usually avoids, but he can put the puck in the net and figured to be key to any late run.

So far, so good.

Boyes scored in his Sabres’ debut, a 3-2 win over the Rangers on March 1, and hasn’t looked back. He has three goals and three assists in six games with Buffalo and, perhaps most important, the Sabres have points in five of those games. Forget No. 8 for a second, they actually woke up in seventh place in the East Friday.

Boyes had a goal and an assist in the Sabres’ 4-3 win over Boston Thursday and will enter this matchup with a little more incentive than usual. After all, he was a 2000 first-round pick of Toronto.

Slip, sliding away?

This time last week, all was well with the Maple Leafs. They were hot, they were scoring goals at opportune times and they took a nine-game point streak into a Hockey Night in Canada date versus Chicago.

Well, the Blackhawks blasted them, 5-3, in a game that wasn’t as close as the score and things haven’t been the same. All told, Toronto will take a three-game skid into this date with Buffalo and the Maple Leafs woke on Friday six points out of a playoff spot.

Perhaps the magic is wearing off a little on goaltender James Reimer. He’s lost all three of those games, allowing 12 goals.

History

Buffalo will always have a chip on its shoulder in this regional rivalry, as it will never be the more popular team. And this year, they Sabres are playing with that chip. They are 3-1 vs. Toronto and the under has hit in three of those four.

Vancouver Canucks at Calgary Flames (106, 5.5)

The West’s best second-half story, the Flames, play host to a familiar foe in a matchup that we might just see come playoff time.

Calgary is in the middle of the West postseason pack, but is just a minor skid away from the No. 8 seed, which would mean a seven-game beauty versus these Canucks. For now though, hockey bettors will settle for this nightcap.

On the rebound?

The Flames haven’t lost two in a row since Jan. 3-5, so you know they will be fired up for this one after dropping a 3-0 decision to Phoenix Thursday. Calgary played well enough versus the Coyotes, firing 39 shots, but could not dent Phoenix goalie Ilya Bryzgalov.

Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo won’t be much easier for the Flames. But they will have a home crowd behind them, a national audience and, let’s face it: This is a Calgary team that lost for only the second time in 12 games by virtue of that shutout. This is still a team that is playing good hockey and carries great betting value.

Marching through March

The Canucks stumbled just a bit in February and the prevailing thought was that maybe they were getting complacent at the top of the West. But March has silenced the critics, as they’ve already thrown up five wins and are just three points away from the magic 100 milestone.

While everyone else in the conference fights for seeding and their playoff lives overall, Vancouver should cruise to the President’s Trophy and home-ice advantage.

What happens from there, with this inconsistent postseason group, is anyone’s guess. For now, they are clearly a solid bet moving forward. As long as bettors can handle the price, of course.

Rocky Ryan

No one’s going to doubt Ryan Kesler’s magical, breakout season in Vancouver, but he hasn’t been the same since the All-Star break. He has 33 goals and is having his best campaign, but he has not scored in 11 games.

History

The Canucks have a good record against most Western teams, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they are 3-1 versus the Flames. What might surprise, considering Luongo and Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff, is that the over is 3-1 in this series.

NHL Betting Preview: NY Rangers at Sharks

The New York Rangers wrap up a quick two-game West Coast swing this Saturday night when they tangle with the San Jose Sharks at the HP Pavilion. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. (PT) and it will be broadcast locally on Comcast.

New York continues to battle for its postseason life as it is currently clinging to a two-point lead over Carolina for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers followed up a dominating 7-0 victory over Philadelphia last Sunday as a 119 home favorite with a sluggish 5-2 loss to Anaheim as a slight 102 road favorite this past Wednesday night.

They have won just twice in their last six outings and with only 13 games left to play the regular season need as many wins a possible in hopes of extending their season. Heading into Saturday’s game, New York was 35-30-4 straight-up (35-34 against the spread). It is tied with Buffalo in the East with a total of 74 points, but the Sabres have two games in hand.

The Rangers have a solid core of players that can put the puck in the net led by centers’ Brandon Dubinsky and Brian Doyle and right winger Ryan Callahan. All three have scored 20 goals this year and Dubinsky leads the team with 45 points. New York is ranked 17th in the NHL in scoring, averaging 2.72 goals a game.

Defense remains the strong suit of this team behind the play of goalie Henrik Lundqvist, who has a goals-against-average of 2.34 and a save percentage of .921 in 54 starts this season. The Rangers are giving up an average of just 2.42 goals a game, which is tied for sixth-best in the league.

San Jose’s playoff position is much more secure with a four-point lead over Phoenix in the Pacific Division standings and the third-most points in the Western Conference. It is coming off a dramatic 5-4 OT shootout loss to Vancouver as a 117 home favorite in what could very well have been of preview of this year’s Conference Finals. The Sharks are 8-1-1 SU in their last 10 games and 39-22-7 SU overall (30-38 ATS).

San Jose remains one of the more prolific scoring teams in the league with an average of 2.75 goals a game. It boasts a number of sharpshooters with four players scoring 20 or more goals led by left winger Patrick Marleau’s team-high 27. Center Joe Thornton has 40 assists and his 56 points ties him with Dany Heatley as the team’s top two point scorers.

Antti Niemi has started 47 of the Sharks 68 games this season and is expected to be in net for this one. He has a GGA of 2.41 and a .918 save percentage, putting him near the top of the league in both categories. San Jose is giving up an average of 2.52 goals a game, ranking it ninth in the NHL.

One injury note to be aware of is that defenseman Dan Boyle remains day-to-day after missing Thursday’s game with an upper body injury.

New York is 15-16 as a favorite and is over .500 on the money line as an underdog at 20-18. The total is 2-3-1 in its last six games and has stayed ‘under’ in 55 percent of its games.

San Jose is 28-20 as a favorite and 11-8 as an underdog. The 'under' is 3-1-1 in the last five games and has slightly favored the ‘under’ over the course of the season.

The Sharks should open as a healthy favorite on the money line and remain a solid pick against a Rangers’ team that is struggling to play with any kind of consistency, especially on the road where it is 3-5 SU in its last eight games.

Saturday's Best College Basketball Bets

Connecticut Huskies vs. Louisville Cardinals(N/A)

The Big East Tournament will come to a close at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, as the Louisville Cardinals meet up with the Connecticut Huskies in NCAA basketball betting action.

Just one day ago, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish thought that they were going to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Now, it’s the Cardinals that might have at least a bit of a gripe if they can win this tournament that they should be a top seed. Louisville stormed back from a huge deficit in the second half against one of the hottest teams in the land to take an 83-77 decision in overtime. Peyton Siva had another nice day by coming up with 15 points off of the bench, and he was one of five Cardinals that had at least 14 points on the day. Preston Knowles has a case to be the tournament’s MVP if Louisville happens to win this event, as he had another 20 point performance against the Irish. The Redbirds overcame a dismal 32.6 shooting percentage on the day, and they only shot 22.6 percent from three point range as well. However, they played some relatively stout defense, shot the ball well from the foul line, and escaped with a great win.

The better question in terms of seeding in the NCAA Tournament is where the Huskies are going to fall at this point. Could we reasonably see this team up as a No. 2 seed? That’s probably a tad high, but the argument certainly could be made that UConn deserves it if it wins five games in five days against the most brutal teams that this conference has to offer. It’s not like these were cupcake games. The Huskies disposed of the Georgetown Hoyas, Pitt Panthers, Syracuse Orange, and now have to take on another team that could legitimately be a No. 1 seed in Notre Dame. We keep asking questions about Kemba Walker, but this young man just seems to be getting better and better and better with each passing day. He put up 33 points and had 12 boards in the OT win over the ‘Cuse on Friday night, his best game in an already sparkling Big East Tournament. There is no doubt that, at least as of this point, he is the tournament’s MVP, and if he keeps this up for just one more game, his Huskies will be Big East champs.

Kemba, Kemba, Kemba! Louisville has run up against everything else in this tournament. The only thing that it hasn’t seen is Walker. This is a man on a mission, and the kid from the Bronx will finish the job at MSG on Saturday night.

Saturday's Betting Tips: Paul Could Return For Hornets

Who's Hot

NHL: The Canadiens are 5-1 in their last six overall and 4-1 in their last five road games.

NCAAB: Clemson is 4-1 ATS in its last five overall and the under is 5-1-1 in its last seven overall.

NCAAB: Michigan is 11-1 ATS in its last 12 against the Big Ten.

NBA: The Nuggets are 8-1 ATS in their last nine overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four home games.

NBA: The over is 14-2 in the Kings’ last 16 overall and 8-0 in their last eight road games.

Who’s Not

NHL: The Blue Jackets are 0-6 in their last six overall.

NBA: The Hawks are 1-5 ATS in their last five overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games.

NBA: The Heat are 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

Key Stat

25/39 – Jon Diebler from the three-point line in his last six games for Ohio State heading into the Big Ten Tournament, including an unreal 10-for-12 performance at Penn State on March 1. Diebler, though, went just one for five against Northwestern on Friday and the Buckeyes needed overtime to book their spot in the semifinals and set up a meeting with Michigan. The Wolverines mostly kept Diebler in check in two regular-season meetings; he combined to go five for 10 from long range but scored only nine points in each contest.

Injuries That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since a scary collision with Cleveland’s Ramon Sessions last Sunday. Paul was diagnosed only with a mild concussion, but it has kept him out and he remains questionable for Saturday’s home contest against Sacramento. He returned to practice for the first time on Thursday.

"It was good to see him out here getting some shots up," teammate Jarrett Jack told the Associated Press. "We knew it was a matter of time. We all knew how tough he is, the injuries he's battled through over the course of his career. We knew this wasn't going to keep him out too long. He was actually trying to play yesterday but they wouldn't let him out there just for precautionary reasons."

Biggest Games On The Slate

Los Angeles Lakers at Dallas Mavericks (-1, 193)

Notable Quotable

“Live another day; that’s what you want to do at this time of the month.” – North Carolina forward John Henson after his team's 61-59 win over Miami in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. The Tar Heels, seeded first, trailed by 19 points with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game but ended up winning on a Tyler Zeller layup at the buzzer. They play Clemson in Saturday's semifinals.

Tips And Notes

The St. Louis Blues have been plagued by injuries all season long, and it only got worse this week. Defenseman Barret Jackman (13 assists, 39 penalty minutes) and center Alex Steen (18 goals, 30 assists) both went down in Wednesday’s win at Columbus, Jackman with a broken finger and Steen with a high ankle sprain. Jackman underwent surgery on Thursday and is expected to return in mid-April while Steen is out indefinitely and could miss the remainder of the season. Adding insult to injury, literally, St. Louis has to play the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.

Montreal did not look good its first game after Max Pacioretty sustained a horrific concussion on Tuesday, losing 4-1 at St. Louis two days later. "You're concerned about him, but at the end of the day, we're professionals," captain Brian Gionta said following the game. "We're going to go out there and put things behind us. I just think our effort wasn't there." On Saturday the Canadiens face Pittsburgh, which is—finally—starting to fare just fine in the wake of injuries. Sidney Crosby is out indefinitely with post-concussion symptoms and Evgeni Malkin is out for the season following knee surgery. The Penguins have won two in a row and have collected points in five straight outings.

The Washington Wizards are out of the playoff race, dealing with injuries, and still trying to gel with a host of newcomers on board. “Is it tough? Yeah,” head coach Flip Saunders told the Washington Post. “It's tough for the fans. It's tough for the players. It's tough for everybody. But in talking to (owner) Ted Leonsis, you have to you know, 'Where do you want to be? Do you want to be there short term, or do you want to be there long term?’'' Saunders is going to find out which of his players want to be there long-term, as he announced this week that his team is going into “training camp” mode for the rest of the season. Lineup tinkering is going to coincide with a hot opponent on Saturday, as Washington is running into a Clippers squad that has won four in a row (4-0 ATS).

Harvard's Keith Wright was named Ivy League Player of the Year on Thursday. Wright, a 6'8'' and 240-pound power forward, is averaging 14.9 points and 8.5 rebounds heading into Saturday's conference title playoff against Princeton. He has enjoyed a pair of big outings against the Tigers, which the two teams split (both teams won and covered the spread at home). Wright went for 16 and 11 in a February 4 road loss, then recorded 16 points, five rebounds, and six blocks in a March 5 home victory.

Conference USA tournament (El Paso)
Memphis (+4.5) lost 74-45 at UTEP Feb 28, shooting 33%, 1-18 from arc with 20 turnovers; Tigers made 10-18 from arc Friday- they're 5-3 vs spread as a C-USA underdog. Memphis won its last four appearances in C-USA final. Higher-seeded team is 7-1 in this game the last eight years. Pittsburgh +117 over MONTREAL

The Canadiens are still likely suffering a hangover from the “hit heard round the world” in which Tom Pacioritty was sent into another dimension. All the media wants to talk about is that and it has really taken the focus away from the game. That devastating hit has had an impact on everyone in the Canadiens locker room, as a teammate suffered a lot more than an injury. This is a career threatening injury but when he was being whisked away on a stretcher the thoughts were much worse. Let’s also not forget that Paciorrity is a very decent player too. In order for the Habs to win they have to be at their best. They have to outwork the opposition and they need breaks because rarely do they win on talent. They also need outstanding goaltending from Carey Price to win and when you add all those things up it equates to a very beatable hockey team. The Penguins are so tough. Here’s a team that was bitten hard by the injury bug yet they refused to go down. They’ve picked up points in five straight and that includes wins over Boston and the red-hot Sabres, not to mention taking three out of a possible four point in Toronto over the then very warm Maple Leafs. The Pens are slowly but surely returning to health and with the exception of Crosby and Malkin just about every other key member is back. The Pens stepped up big time when adversity struck and that has built a team with strong character that will serve them well for a long time. Pens plus anything against this fragile Habs club has to be considered a good wager. Play: Pittsburgh +117 (Risking 2 units).

N.Y. Islanders +210 over NEW JERSEY

Regardless of the outcome here, the Islanders are way too overpriced to pass on. They’re coming off a spirited effort over the Bruins last night in which they badly outplayed them for 60 minutes and got a deserving 4-2 win. The Islanders have picked up points in six straight games now and that includes a game with the Devils six days ago in which they lost 3-2 in OT. Over their last five games the Islanders have scored four goals or more in four of those five contests. All of a sudden the Islanders are back in the playoff race. If the Islanders win tonight, the Rangers lose tonight (they’re in San Jose) and the Isles beat the Rangers on Tuesday, the Isles will be six points out of a playoff spot. The Devils are hot and that’s why they’re such a big favorite but it’s not warranted by this much. They’re still struggling to score goals and in fact, have scored two or less in six of eight. That makes them a huge risk laying 2-1 and in terms of value here the Islanders offer up plenty. This tag is simply ludicrous. Play: N.Y. Islanders +210 (Risking 2 units).
